Graduation Requirements

AP/Honors Program of Study

English: 4 credits

Math: 4 credits

Science: 4 credits (1 biology, 2 physical science, 1 additional science)

Social Studies: 4 credits (1World History, 1 American History, .5 American Government, .5 Economics and 1 credit from an additional History)

World Language: 2 credits in the same language (taken in middle or high school from 2007-2008 and after)

Visual/Performing Art: 1 credit

HOPE: 1 credit

Additional Electives: 4 credits

Online class: Complete 1 course online

Paxon AP Requirement: Min. of 7 AP credits

Passing score on the FSA grade 10 Reading/Math and state EOCs (Alg. 1, biology)

Cumulative unweighted 2.0 GPA

Min. of 75 hours of community service

 

IB Program of Study

English:  4 credits (honors level or higher w/at least one IB or AP course)

Math:  4 credits (honors level or higher; geometry or higher w/at least one IB or AP course)

Science:   4 credits (honors level or higher w/at least one IB or AP lab science)

Social Studies: 4 credits (honors level or higher w/at least one IB or AP course)

World Language:  2 credits in the same language (Paxon IB Prep/IB students will take 4 credits in the same language)

Theory of Knowledge:  1 credit

The Arts/Electives: 9 credits (This includes 1 IB 6th subject studied over 1 or 2 years) 

Completion of Extended Essay

Completion of CAS requirement 
(portions of CAS may also meet the community service requirement)

Completion of all IB assessments (some of these are class assignments)

Passing score on the FSA grade 10 Reading/Math and state EOCs (Alg. 1, biology)

Cumulative unweighted 2.0 GPA

Students completing the IB program of study are not required to take HOPE, American Government, or Economics courses. Additionally, students completing the IB curriculum do not need to meet the online course requirement.
