Introduction to Medical Interpreting for High School Students

The US has a growing number of residents who speak another language other than English. This leads to healthcare employers seeking qualified medical interpreters in the field.

 

This program provided by Gulf coast South AHEC has a 1-hour virtual orientation and 3 hours of self-study. Students will learn about the various opportunities for those that are medical interpreters.

CAS /Community Service Opportunity: Health Career Exploration Tours 2024 High School Students

Health Career Exploration Tours This program will include a series of professional presentations, interactive discussions, and team-based activities that will help students gain a better understanding of the medical field, learn about specific careers, and gain insight on public health topics. We will also be holding an SAT/ACT preparation course and CPR/First AID certification. This will be our 9th year holding this program.

UNF's Junior Preview Day

Junior Preview Day: Our Junior Preview Day event is planned for April 26. It is geared toward rising seniors and is an opportunity for them to learn more about UNF.

 

Spring Break Tours: Students are encouraged to sign up for a campus tour during their spring break. If unable to make it to campus, we also have a virtual tour option.








West Point - Summer Leaders Experience (SLE) (for current juniors only)
  • SLE is a one-week program for current Juniors (High School Class of 2025) to visit West Point in June.

  • Students in this program get to spend the week with our cadets, live in the barracks, and eat in the mess hall.

  • Learn about West Point’s world class academics by trying 5 of our 17 academic workshops.

  • Learn about military training and becoming a Leader of Character at West Point by completing two military days to include rappelling, Zodiac boats, combatives (like Jiu-Jitsu) training and more!

  • Challenge themselves physically by attempting the Candidate Fitness Assessment, conducting physical training, and sports.

  • Complete their admissions interview with a cadet.

  • Spend the week making friends with other students from all over the US who are applying to West Point.
