1). QuestBridge National College Match (for high school seniors)
QuestBridge and its 45 college partners are committed to giving students the opportunity to dream big. Through the National College Match, students can receive full four-year scholarships to schools like Stanford, Yale, Amherst, and Duke, so they can reach their full potential. Learn more about who should apply and contact your school counselor if you would like to be nominated (The deadline for students to apply is September 28, 2021 so contact your school counselor ASAP).
2). Columbia Engineering Experience 2021
On behalf of Columbia Engineering and Columbia Undergraduate Admissions, we are pleased to inform you and your students about the Virtual Columbia Engineering Experience (CE2). This opportunity is for outstanding seniors who demonstrate a strong interest in engineering, science, math and technology. Students may apply for this selective program via our online application. Please visit Columbia's Engineering Experience website for the online application and instructions. The deadline to submit an application is Thursday, September 9, 2021. Students selected for the program will be notified on Monday, September 27, 2021.
3). Invitation to Nominate: Jefferson Scholarship at UVA
The Jefferson Scholars Foundation at the University of Virginia is now accepting nominations for the Jefferson Scholarship.
Jefferson Scholarships provide the entire cost of attendance at the University of Virginia and many supplemental enrichment experiences. The total value of the Scholarship exceeds $293,000 for non-Virginian students. I encourage you to learn more about the scholarship, the selection criteria, and the selection process by visiting the Foundation's website.

5). Five Virtual College Visits, One Stop
Join Brown, UChicago, Columbia, Cornell and Rice for a virtual information session for prospective students and their families. Sessions include a brief overview of each institution, information on admissions and financial aid, and a chance to ask questions of admissions representatives. You must register to attend. Please visit our website for dates and registration information.
6). Mayor's Youth at Work Partnership
The MYAWP program provides eligible high school students work-related experiences that prepare them to succeed in employment. We partner with local businesses who employ and train students. Each student and employer will work with a Job Coach who will assist in the employment process, provide support, training and be a liaison between the student and employer. In addition to employment, students will develop social skills, learn work norms and culture, understand career pathways, build professional networks and learn to manage money.
To be eligible students must be:
· 16-21 years old
· enrolled in a Duval County public high school
· have at least a 2.0 GPA.
