2). EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: Education job opportunity for your students that supports school performance

The Duval County School Board approved a contract for READ USA to hire students (16 and older) to provide reading tutoring to 777 4th graders at 12 elementary schools.

The pay is $15 per hour for training and tutoring. Students will tutor 2 – 4 children (45 min each) per day, Monday through Thursday from January 4th to April 28th.

Tutors must work at least 2 hours between 2:00p.m. – 6:00p.m. each day.

Eligible tutors must have a 2.0 GPA and must pass a reading screener. Eligible tutors must demonstrate a pattern of appropriate school and work behavior and must attend school and tutoring regularly.

2). SCHOLARSHIP OPPROTUNITY: Royal Vagabond Club of Jacksonville 2022 Annual Scholarship

The Royal Vagabound Club of Jacksonville plans to award four (4) $1000.00 scholarships to high school seniors. The application deadline is March 1, 2022. Email your school counselor for an application.

4). Citi's Women in IT High School Internship Applications Due Monday


The deadline for application to Citi’s Women in IT Internship program has been extended to Monday, December 13.

All female-identifying high school students in the Jacksonville area 16 years of age or older as of June 1, 20022, that are interested in learning more about careers in technology are eligible to apply. Students selected for this program will have future opportunities to apply to Citi’s six-week high school internship and 10-week college internship programs. Interested students can apply at www.womeninit.org.
