Scholarship Opportunity: Johnson & Wales University-Future Food Scholarship Competition
Are you a prospective student with a passion for cooking? JWU’s College of Food Innovation & Technology (CFIT) is hosting a national recipe competition designed for high school seniors and transfer students enrolled in culinary, baking & pastry arts and other food-related programs or courses. Select contestants in each competition will be awarded JWU academic scholarships, with finalists invited to a JWU campus (Charlotte or Providence) to compete in person for top scholarship prizes.
To qualify for the Future Food Scholarship Competition, students must complete their JWU admissions application and the competition application before January 15, 2024.

Scholarship Opportunity: The American Society of Military Comptrollers
The Greater Jacksonville Chapter of the American Society of Military Comptrollers (ASMC) is soliciting applications for a $500.00 scholarship award to be given by our chapter/organization. Applicants must be seniors in a local high school, pursuing a college education in the field of Accounting, Finance/Economics, Business or Computer Science. Scholarship Opportunity: The University of Alabama
UA offers automatic merit and competitive scholarships. Automatic merit scholarships are only available to students who submit qualifying test scores (ACT or SAT). Competitive scholarships are included in the application for admission, and additional competitive scholarships may be applied for through the Freshman Supplemental Scholarship Application. Students are able to apply for admission as test-optional but can submit test scores to be considered for both automatic merit and competitive scholarships.

One of our Paxon IB grads, Reggie Lynn Agulto, is now theProgram and Events Volunteer Coordinator with the Girl Scouts of Gateway Council. She would love for Paxon students to take part in some of the various service opportunities available through this organization (read below): Are you interested in working with girls or other adults? Volunteer and help girls become go-getters as they work on specific projects throughout the year. You can coach a group of girls as they take risks on an outdoor adventure designed just for them! Or, if you prefer to work with adults, you can provide the kind of behind-the-scenes support that inspires girls to take the lead and share their passions with their community. Either way, there's a perfect volunteer role waiting for you! This year, be a role model and mentor just by being yourself! Army ROTC Scholarships Available at the University of North Georgia!
Greetings from the University of North Georgia!
We’re looking for high school seniors and college freshmen who want to serve our nation as second lieutenants (officers) in the U.S. Army. Scholarships pay for room and board (up to $12,000 per year) or tuition and fees. It also pays a $420/month stipend and a $1,200/year book allowance. Click here for eligibility criteria, benefits, and how to apply. In addition, Georgia resident ROTC scholarship recipients receive grants of up to $2,000 per semester. These benefits combine for about $15,570/year to $19,500/year.
The scholarship leads to a professional career as an active-duty Army second lieutenant (O1) with excellent benefits and starting compensation (Department of Defense Calculator):
Single with less than 2 years of service stationed at Ft. Stewart near Savannah, GA: $72,769
Single with 4 years of service as a Soldier in the Guard while in the Corps of Cadets at Ft. Benning, GA: $79,053
