The Florida Society Colonial Dames XVII Century sponsor a $1,000.00 scholarship to a Florida high school senior who will be attending a Florida four-year college or university or an accredited Florida community college. The student must be enrolled in college full time, show financial need and have a 3.0 GPA or above. The student must submit an acceptance letter from college of choice, a transcript of grades, two letters of reference, and one page telling his/her aims, ambitions and financial need.

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and McDonald’s are proud to offer financial assistance to outstanding students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Sixty-Three (63) scholars will be selected to receive a scholarship up to $15,000 for the 2024-2025 academic school year ($7,500 per semester), which can only be applied to verifiable costs associated with average tuition and usual fees.
Eligibility Requirements:
Be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate freshman, sophomore, junior or senior attending HBCU during the 2024-2025 academic school year.
Current cumulative grade point average of 2.7 or higher.
Able to demonstrate leadership abilities.
Able to demonstrate a financial need.
Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551.
