We are happy to announce that Pet Partners comfort animals are coming back to Paxon starting on February 11th!!! PTSA hopes to continue their visits during the lunches on the second Friday of each month. Dates will be announced on a month to month basis. 5). SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY: For students interested in accounting, finance, business or computer science
The Greater Jacksonville/Kings Bay Chapter of the American Society of Military Comptrollers (ASMC) is soliciting applications for a $500.00 scholarship award to be given by our chapter/organization. Applicants must be seniors in a local high school, pursuing a college education in the field of Accounting, Finance, Business or Computer Science. The application deadline is March 16, 2022. 6). SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY: The "No Sweat" Scholarship for students in grades 9-12
This is a quarterly scholarship of $2,500 that is super easy to apply with NO GPA requirements, NO minimum income requirements, and NO ESSAY TO WRITE. Students love this scholarship because it is so easy to apply! This new scholarship will run January 1 st – March 31 st, 2022 . Students can apply for free at www.cirkledin.com/scholarships .

CHARTWELLS SCHOLARSHIP – 18 winners will be awarded $2,000 scholarship
We are offering a one-time $2,000 scholarship to 18 Duval County Public School seniors who plan to continue on to post-secondary education, including colleges, universities, technical or trade schools.
Eligibility:
This scholarship is open to high school seniors who will graduate from a Duval County public high school in spring 2022. There will be 18 winners district-wide who will receive a one-time $2,000 scholarship to be applied towards their post-secondary education.
Requirements:
Acceptance letter/proof of enrollment into a college, university, technical or trade school
Submit a copy of official high school transcript
Submit completed application
Submit essay (1,000 words or less)
THOMPSON HOSPITALITY HBCU MEAL PLAN SCHOLARSHIP – 3 meal plan scholarships
We are offering a one-year meal plan scholarship to three Duval County Public School seniors who plan to continue their education at a historically black college and university with food service provided by Thompson Hospitality. Eligibility:
This scholarship is open to high school seniors who will graduate from a Duval County public high school in spring 2022. Three winners will receive a one-year meal plan scholarship to be applied towards their post-secondary education at a historically black college and university from qualifying list.
Requirements:
Acceptance letter/proof of enrollment into a historically black college and university (only eligible schools will be accepted)
Submit a copy of official high school transcript
2.5 GPA or above
Submit completed application
Submit essay (1,000 words or less)

Each year, every high school must submit information to the district with the total scholarship/grant $$$ that the graduating class is being offered. This may be scholarships/grants from any place (a college, university, or organization). Please complete this form for each scholarship/grant that you have been offered, EVEN IF YOU DO NOT PLAN ON ATTENDING the college/university that is offering you the scholarship/grant (the form is also linked on the home page of the Paxon School Counseling website). You DO NOT need to add Bright Futures scholarships (your counselor will pull that information later).
