SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY: ARTS FOR LIFE! (Deadline to apply is Feb. 5th)
Arts for Life! annually awards a one-time $1,000 scholarship to 25 graduating high school seniors who demonstrate excellence in creative writing, dance, drama, music or the visual arts. Launched by former First Lady Columba Bush in 1999, the program has awarded scholarships to more than 600 gifted high school seniors.
Eligibility: High school students who are graduating from a public, private, or virtual school or a home education program in Florida in the spring of 2024. SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY: FLDOE 2024 Black History Contest (Due Feb. 7th)
The Florida Department of Education and Volunteer Florida encourage students and educators to Participate in the 2024 Black History Month Contests. Student essay contest winners will receive a 2-year Florida College Plan scholarship from the Florida Prepaid College Foundation.
The Black History Month Student Essay Contest is open to all fourth through twelfth-grade students in Florida. Each student will submit one essay of no longer than 500 words based on this year’s theme. Six winners will be selected: two elementary school students (grades 4 - 5), two middle school students (grades 6 - 8), and two high school students (grades 9 - 12). Each winner will receive a 2-year Florida College Plan scholarship from the Florida Prepaid College Foundation and a $100 gift card for school supplies. Students are encouraged to write about the African American heroes who fought for freedom across our state. The subject of the essay should be a Floridian.

All entries must be received by 5 p.m. (ET) on Wednesday, February 7, 2024.

The Empowering Greatness Scholarship will award 5 high school seniors with two full years of college tuition! Scholarships will cover full tuition and local fees for 60 lower division semester credit hours at any Florida university, college or trade-school. Engineering Scholarship Opportunity for High School Seniors
The Northeast Florida Engineers Week Committee is offering two scholarships up to the amount of $1,000 per scholarship for high school seniors planning to major in engineering in college in the fall of 2024.
