2023 NLP Logix Analytics Summer Boot Camp
NLP Logix for the past eight years, has run a summer analytics boot camp for rising seniors in DCPS. The program will start Monday, June 26th and run for five weeks and end the week of July 30th. They are looking to get a class size of 12 students and ask that anyone recommended can do the entire camp with no restrictions on participation such as vacations, travel, etc. More detailed information can be found at the following web site: https://www.nlplogix.com/boot-camp/
Invitation to Exploring College Options: In-person and virtual student events
Exploring College Options is a special informational program sponsored by the undergraduate admissions offices of five of the country's leading universities: Duke University, Georgetown University, Harvard University, the University of Pennsylvania, and Stanford University.
Representatives from each university will present information about their institution, discuss the application process, and answer questions on how to put together a strong and reflective application. Each program will end with breakout sessions where representatives will answer questions about their specific school and the application process. This spring, we are offering both in-person and virtual programs, with each program featuring the same content. Click here for more information and to register for in-person and virtual events.
An FSCJ Honors Education for Graduating Seniors
The FSCJ Honors Program provides Associate in Arts students with opportunities for academic excellence, service-learning, leadership development, and fellowship within an intellectually vibrant, culturally diverse, and student-centered learning environment. Guided by knowledgeable and caring faculty, Honors students explore the world of ideas while benefiting from hands-on learning opportunities with a variety of local community and business partners.
The FSCJ Honors Program offers students the ability to graduate with an Honors Diploma or Honors Certificate distinction upon completion of program requirements. Students who are admitted to the program will receive scholarships ranging from $250 per term up to full in-state tuition and fees for up to 60 credit hours of tuition toward an Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree.
Most Honors classes are currently held at the South Campus, with an increasing number of available Honors classes to be offered at other FSCJ campuses.

The AnnieRuth Foundation’s Summer Internship Program (for current juniors and sophomores)
The AnnieRuth Foundation is currently accepting applications for its 2024 Summer Internship Program. This program provides current high school sophomores or juniors an opportunity to develop personal, academic, and workforce readiness skills. Ultimately, students complete an internship experience in a safe, professional environment that directly aligns with their career aspiration. Camp Challenge Summer Camp Jobs
Camp Counselors need to be at least 18 years old. The Activities Counselors can be 17 years old.
These are paid positions where students live and work at camp for the summer (or the weeks they select). The Camp Counselors receive a stipend of $350 per week plus room and board. The Activities Counselors receive a stipend of $265 per week plus room and board.
If there are any seniors who want to go into a culinary position, there is an Assistant Cook position open at Camp Challenge as well. This is an hourly position ($14 to $15 per hour based on experience).

COMMUNITY SERVICE/CAS OPPORTUNITY: Riverside Avondale Preservation's Teen Leaders Program
RAP is beginning a new program for local high school students to earn community service hours over the summer and throughout the school year.
While many of Paxon's students have already come to volunteer with us at the Riverside Arts Market, our new Riverside Avondale Preservation's Teen Leadership Program will give students a more specialized volunteer opportunity along with leadership skill development and the option to complete a project in an area of their interest.
