Blog Post for the Week of May 23-27, 2022

1). Class of 2022: Things to Remember BEFORE and AFTER Graduation

  1. Be sure you have submitted a request to have your FINAL transcript sent to the college or university you will be attending this summer or fall of 2022. We DO NOT automatically send final transcripts as we DO NOT know where to send it. Please DO NOT email counselors for transcript requests. Transcripts should be requested through the School Counseling website anytime after graduation. https://paxonsas3075.wixsite.com/psasschoolcounselors/transcript-requests

  2. If you have taken a Dual Enrollment Course through Edward Waters University or Embry Riddle, you will need to request a transcript directly from the university as proof of college credits earned. Please go to the Paxon School Counseling website to get to their direct links. https://paxonsas3075.wixsite.com/psasschoolcounselors/transcript-requests

  3. Bright Futures final eligibility information will be emailed to you in late July or early August. Be sure all information is accurate in your Bright Future’s account prior to graduation, to prevent losing scholarship money.

2). Lehigh’s Diversity Achievers Program - coming this fall!

Greetings from Lehigh!

We are excited to announce that our annual on-campus overnight program, the Diversity Achievers Program (DAP) will be held from Friday, October 21, 2022 to Saturday, October 22, 2022. DAP Weekend provides current high school seniors from underrepresented backgrounds with the opportunity to connect with Lehigh faculty, staff and current students. Lehigh University will cover the cost for students' transportation, lodging and meals during the program.

The application for DAP will be available starting Wednesday, July 27, 2022, and we will send you a reminder when it's live. Students that are on the Lehigh mailing list will receive an email inviting them to apply to DAP as well. Students not in our system are encouraged to complete this form to be added to our mailing list, but are also able to apply through the DAP website. To be considered eligible for the program students must be a high school senior, submit the DAP application by the deadline and identify as at least one of the following:

•First generation (neither parent has completed a bachelor's degree or higher)

•Low-income

•Student of color

•LGBTQ+

•Committed to diversity, equity and inclusion

Please email Kailen Richmond (kjr319@lehigh.edu) or the Diversity Recruitment Team (LUdiversity@lehigh.edu) if you have any questions.

Best regards,

Diversity Recruitment Team
