3). AI + Astronomy: Interdisciplinary AI Project Mentorship for Paxon School for Advanced Studies students

This is Ben, a Program Manager here at Inspirit AI, the artificial intelligence enrichment program for middle and high school students developed and taught by our team of Stanford and MIT grad students. I'm reaching out to invite Paxon School for Advanced Studies students to an exciting project mentorship opportunity for high school students, AI + Astronomy: Planet Hunters!

In this project, students will look to the stars in search of exoplanets, planets like our own orbiting other stars. Students will learn about cutting edge techniques in astronomy like transit photometry, and combine those techniques with data from NASA satellites and artificial intelligence to search for planets like ours elsewhere in the galaxy. Through projects like this, we have educated over 5000 students from 75+ countries in AI fundamentals to find real-world solutions across domains, from the arts to healthcare!

Applications for our Winter 2021 Program are open– the deadline to apply is November 15th.
