South Georgia State College: Admissions Application Fee Waived for November 2022

South Georgia State College is waiving its Admissions Application Fee starting today, November 1, 2022, until November 30, 2022.



















Jacksonville University: Open House for Practical Nurse Program








Allen University Takeover in Jacksonville - Doubletree Hotel (Airport) Nov. 11 at 10:00 a.m.

Allen University will be hosting a recruiting event at the Doubletree by Hilton (Jacksonville-Airport) on Friday Nov. 11 at 10:00 a.m. The institution will have representation from the department of admissions, athletics, choir, marching band, and financial aid. In fact, a separate ballroom will be set aside for those that wish to audition. They will be offering full tuition packets for those that meet the requirements.















Virtual College Readiness Workshop hosted by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. - Nov. 29th @7pm

The Jacksonville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated will host a Virtual College Readiness Workshop on Tuesday, November 29th at 7pm. SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY: Air Force ROTC

The Department of the Air Force offers up to 4-year college scholarships to high school students that are interested in commissioning into the U.S. Air Force or U.S. Space Force.


WHO CAN APPLY: High School Seniors

WHEN TO APPLY: Initial applications are due 30 November 2022 for U.S. Space Force applicants, and 31 December 2022 for U.S. Air Force applicants.


More information on the Air Force ROTC program as a whole can be found at www.afrotc.com. Additionally, If students are interested in AFROTC at the University of Florida, more information about their detachment can be found at www.afrotc.ufl.edu. The detachment offers the program to both University of Florida and Santa Fe College students, who will commission into the Department of the Air Force upon successful completion of the program and upon conferment of a Bachelor’s degree.


Scholarships cover tuition and fees (not room and board), and include an annual book stipend and a monthly living expense stipend that starts $300/month during freshman year and goes up to $500/month during senior year.

FREE APPLICATION MONTH- NOVEMBER November is our FREE Application Month. Students can submit an application at no cost with our fee waiver code COAST2023. To apply, we encourage your students to visit www.ccga.edu/apply. Attached, you’ll find a graphic that you can use to place on your schools social media accounts. I am also attaching a flyer for you to distribute at your school.

Yes, you read that right! The College of Coastal Georgia does not require SAT or ACT scores for the purpose of admissions. We are continuing to utilize the high school GPA in order to evaluate a student's application. Yes, we are a public institution and a member of the University System of Georgia. READ USA is a non-profit organization focused on closing the literacy gap in Duval County. We have an urgent need for volunteers over the next week to help us sort books and materials to be used by our tutoring program.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY: Eckerd College Scholarship for Black, Indigenous and Latinx STEM Students

The Eckerd Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (E-STEM) Scholarship Program, funded in part by the generosity of the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, is to support Black, Latinx, and Indigenous students in their pursuit of a bachelor's degree within a STEM field at Eckerd College (biochemistry, biology, chemistry, computer science, 3/2 engineering, geosciences, marine science, mathematics and physics).

E-STEM Scholars will enjoy the following benefits:

  • $10,000 scholarship renewable up to four years, for a total of $40,000 in addition to other scholarships and grants for which a student is eligible

  • One-on-one mentoring by Eckerd faculty, peers and graduates currently in STEM professions

  • Automatic admission to Eckerd's Honors Program

  • A paid internship in the lab of an Eckerd faculty member for the summer between your first and second year

  • Leadership workshops conducted by Eckerd College's Leadership Development Institute to complement a year-long professional development seminar

The deadline for students to apply to the scholarship is January 15, 2023. Students must also apply and be admitted to Eckerd College. Eckerd's Early Action deadline is November 15 and application fees are waived for all applications submitted by December 1.

This virtual event will feature information about each program, admissions, scholarships and aid, and more. You'll also hear from current students about what life at the School of Teacher Education is like.

Georgia Southern University - No Fee November Starts 11/02/22

Georgia Southern University is offering No Fee November until November 30 as part of Georgia Apply to College Month!


During November, students can apply to our 80+ undergraduate degree programs without the $30 application fee. Please encourage your students to submit their applications for free at GeorgiaSouthern.edu/apply.


Remember, first-year students applying to Georgia Southern University can be admitted without an ACT or SAT score if they have at least a 3.2 unweighted GPA (using the 17 Required High School Curriculum courses). Students must meet all other admission requirements, including satisfactory completion of the Required High School Curriculum and providing all other requested documentation.
